This year marks the 12th Annual St. HOPE Academy fundraising Dinner celebrating civic leadership. Founded by NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson on July 1, 1989, St. HOPE Academy began as an after school program for youth in Oak Park Sacramento. A nonprofit community development corporation, whose mission is to revitalize inner-city communities, St. HOPE now includes Sacramento High School, PS7 elementary school, and several development projects within the 40 Acres Art Gallery and Cultural Center all located in Oak Park. The St. HOPE Dinner is the only fundraising event of the year and accounts for a significant portion of it’s annual operating budget. The event has been a sell-out every year thanks in large part to the Dinner Sponsors, staff and friends. With support from individuals, local businesses, foundations and organizations, St. HOPE has been able to successfully revitalize the Oak Park community through public education, economic development, civic leadership and arts enrichment. |
